Pinus Pentaphylla / Parviflora Bonsai (Japanese White Pine / Japanese Five Needle Pine)
Pinus Pentaphylla, also known as Japanese White Pine is the largest species of pine that originates from Asia. The White Pine is slow growing with very attractive green foliage and dense graceful crowns, making it an outstanding specimen tree that will look stunning in any open space. As it ages Pinus Pentaphylla usually gets as wide as it is tall, developing an irregular and particularly lovely outline.
The leaves of the Japanese White Pine are needle-like with a length of 56 cm, growing in bunches. In time its bark darkens and thickens while the needles are usually soft and flexible. The buds have a pleasant aroma.
