Chamaerops humilis is a majestic palm that tends to grow in several medium-height stems. Originating from North Africa and South-western Europe, Chamaerops humilis is the only species of palm that is native to Europe. With its many stems often clumped close together at its base, this palms leaves are spread out like small, green fans. Over time, these stems will grow up to 4 meters tall and expand into more trunk-like organic structures. Tolerating temperatures as low as -12C, Chamaerops humilis flourishes when it is placed in well-drained soil and somewhere it receives plenty of sunshine.
